Pastry Chef — Part Time
The Lakeside Manor in Virginia is seeking an experienced, creative, and passionate Part-Time Pastry Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in crafting beautiful, high-quality desserts and baked goods while working in a collaborative, supportive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute innovative desserts and pastry offerings
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, pastries, desserts, and decorative elements
- Ensure consistent quality, flavor, presentation, and portioning across all pastry items
- Create visually appealing dessert presentations that enhance the guest experience
- Maintain proper inventory levels for baking ingredients and supplies
- Minimise waste through careful planning, preparation, and storage practices
- Contribute new ideas and initiatives to elevate menu offerings and customer satisfaction
- Foster a positive kitchen culture built on teamwork, creativity, and excellence
- Follow all sanitation, hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient pastry work area
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar culinary role preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation
- Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail and consistency
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing memorable desserts
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen procedures
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including possible evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
