We are currently recruiting a Host to join our Carriage House and Courtyard Bar Team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities;

• Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression upon arrival.
• Manage restaurant reservations and ensure all bookings are accurately maintained within the reservation system.
• Confirm and follow up on bookings where required, ensuring guest preferences and special requests are recorded and communicated to the team.
• Coordinate guest seating to maximize restaurant flow while maintaining exceptional service standards.
• Profile guests and maintain accurate guest information, including special occasions, dietary requirements, VIP status, and returning guest preferences.
• Act as the primary point of contact for guests, handling enquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Liaise closely with the restaurant management and service team to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Monitor table availability and waiting lists, providing accurate wait-time information to guests.
• Assist in resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Complete detailed shift handovers and communicate important guest information to colleagues and management.
• Maintain the highest standards of presentation, professionalism, and hospitality

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Host/Hostess, Receptionist, or in a guest-facing role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Experience using reservation systems such as SevenRooms, OpenTable, ResDiary, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A positive attitude with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues alike.
• Professional appearance and confident manner.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
