About Us

Toons Bridge Dairy is known for high-quality artisanal dairy products, Mediterranean foods, and exceptional customer experience. Our Serpentine Avenue shop is a vibrant neighbourhood food store and small café space focused on fresh produce, quality ingredients, and warm hospitality. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to lead the team and oversee daily operations.

Role Overview

The Shop Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the shop, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, excellent customer service, strong team leadership, and consistent delivery of our brand standards. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with proven experience in food retail or speciality food shop management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • Lead, support, and schedule staff; ensure proper training and development.
  • Maintain stock levels, coordinate ordering, receive deliveries, and reduce waste.
  • Manage cash handling, POS systems, and daily financial reporting.
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards in line with HACCP guidelines.
  • Work closely with the central Toons Bridge Dairy team.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Merchandising, product display, and in-store events or tastings.
  • Monitor performance targets and implement improvements where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in food retail or food shop management (essential).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for high-quality food.
  • Strong organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with stock control, ordering, and inventory systems.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Positive attitude, hands-on approach, and ability to work independently.
