Full job description

M Recruitment Luxury Household is seeking an experienced Full-Time Housekeeper for a private family home in Westport, Co. Mayo.

This is a busy household with Mum, Dad and five children aged 3 to 16, they are seeking a warm, proactive and highly organised Housekeeper who can independently manage the day-to-day running of the home.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible and confident using their own initiative, with a genuine interest in supporting both the household and children.

Monday–Friday 9am -5pm

Duties will include:

· Managing the day-to-day household duties to ensure a smooth-running home.

· Maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of the home to a high standard.

· General housekeeping, including vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms and kitchen.

· Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management, with a good understanding of garment care.

· Managing household stock levels, groceries and cleaning supplies.

· Running errands and accepting deliveries as required.

· Assist with home-cooked family meals.

· Provide childcare support when Mum needs to run errands or take children to an activity.

Requirements:

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar private household role.

· Ideally at least 2 years with the most recent employer.

· Highly organised with excellent time-management skills.

· Confident working independently with minimal supervision.

· Discreet and respectful of family privacy and confidentiality.

· Two strong references confirming experience and reliability.

· Driving preferred

· Non-smoker.

· Seeking a long-term position.

Package & Benefits

· Salary of €45,000+ per annum, depending on experience.

· Car provided for work-related duties and errands.

· Parking provided.

· Occasional evening or weekend babysitting may be requested by prior arrangement.
