About Us

Kellys Homevalue is a builder’s providers and DIY store located in the heart of Dublin city. Established in 1946 and part of Homevalue buying group we have a wealth of knowledge in the DIY and construction industry.

Role Objective

Provide a knowledgeable, professional and friendly service to all our customers by matching their expectations with our products and services. The Trade Counter Sales & Operations Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for trade professionals and retail customers alike. This is a "dual function" role that requires a seamless transition between the commercial environment of the sales counter and the operational demands of the warehouse, yard & merchandising. You are responsible for the entire customer journey: from providing technical advice and processing the sale to ensuring the correct materials are picked, packed, and loaded safely.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 3 years previous experience working in a builder provider or similar environment is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of building material products
  • 3 years previous sales experience essential
  • IT Literate (POS and Microsoft)

Responsibilities

  • Foster and develop successful working relationships with customers and staff. Understand customer requirements: meet and exceed their expectations
  • Advise customers on the best possible solutions.
  • Process POS transactions.
  • Maximize sales opportunities
  • Follow up on quotations
  • Maintain a clean and professionally merchandised store and counter area.
  • Ensure compliance with sales paperwork.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained at appropriate levels
  • Support management and colleagues promote and optimize company policies and procedures to ensure a superior customer experience.
  • Operate a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times.
  • Be security conscious at all times.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties necessary or as may be required by the company

Merchendising :

  • Merchandise stock in shop with overflow stored in the correct areas.
  • Merchandising and stocking store.
  • Daily restocking of products in all areas of shop.
  • Monitoring, recording, and reporting low stock or stock-outs.
  • Monitor floor areas for any potential hazards to customers and staff.
  • Maintains store layout, displays and shelves and ensure all products are positioned correctly with corresponding labels.
  • Security tagging products.
  • Actively safeguard against theft of goods or company property. Promote a security conscious environment.
  • Ensure promotional materials are up to date.

Contract Type

  • Permanent Full-time
  • 40- hour week with Monday to Friday with every second Saturday.
  • Location: Dublin 3.
