Student supports and services provide a central hub of student support, engagement and transition services ensuring these are inclusive, accessible and responsive to the diverse needs of students. The office acts as a key point of contact for students, offering guidance, information and referrals to a wide range of SETU supports and services.

Reporting to the Director of Student Life and Experience, the postholder provides strategic and operational leadership for a portfolio of student support services from the following: Access, Careers, Chaplaincy, Counselling, Disability, Student Engagement and Transition, Peer Mentoring, Health and Societies.

The role is responsible for the development, delivery and continuous enhancement of integrated services and supports that promote student wellbeing, inclusion, engagement, transition, and success. The postholder will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop strategic initiatives, oversee service quality and performance, and work collaboratively with academic schools, professional services, students and external stakeholders. The role will ensure that student support services are evidence-informed, aligned with university strategy, responsive to emerging student needs and reflective of national policy and best practice.
