Full job description

Associate Scientific Officer (Product & Research)
Part-Time | Fully Remote (Ireland) | Flexible Working Hours
Are you passionate about clinical research, digital health, and healthcare innovation? We're partnering with an exciting Irish Med-Tech Start-Up developing evidence-based digital solutions that are transforming vestibular rehabilitation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, collaborative team in a part-time, flexible role, offering genuine work-life balance while contributing to meaningful healthcare innovation. Working closely with the Chief Scientific Officer, you'll play a key role in clinical research, product development, and scientific communications.
The Role
As Associate Scientific Officer, you will help ensure the product remains scientifically robust, clinically validated, and aligned with the latest evidence in vestibular rehabilitation.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the design and delivery of clinical research studies and validation projects.
  • Preparing research protocols, ethics submissions, and study documentation.
  • Coordinating clinical studies, including participant recruitment and study management.
  • Organising and preparing research data for analysis.
  • Collaborating with external clinical and research partners.
  • Translating clinical requirements into clear product specifications for software developers.
  • Supporting scientific testing and quality assurance of digital health products.
  • Producing scientific reports, white papers, educational content, and customer resources.
  • Monitoring emerging research to support ongoing product development.
  • Assisting with customer education and product training.

About You
We're looking for someone with a passion for research and innovation who enjoys working in a collaborative start-up environment.
You'll ideally have:

  • A clinical qualification such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Audiology.
  • A Master's or PhD in a relevant healthcare or scientific discipline with a strong research focus.
  • 1-2 years' experience in clinical research, healthcare, med-tech or a similar environment.
  • Excellent scientific writing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to scientific integrity and patient safety.

Previous experience within a start-up or digital health environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
What's on Offer

  • Part-time position with flexible working hours.
  • Fully remote role based anywhere in Ireland. (Must be available to attend meetings in Dublin as required)
  • Opportunity to join an innovative, fast-growing Irish med-tech start-up.
  • Work alongside experienced clinical and scientific leaders.
  • Make a genuine impact on the development of cutting-edge digital healthcare technology.
  • Excellent opportunity to grow with an ambitious and innovative business.

If you're looking for a flexible role where you can combine your clinical expertise, research skills, and passion for healthcare innovation, we'd love to hear from you.
