Joseph S. Cuddigan & Co. Solicitors, a long-established and respected Cork law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team. We are open to applications from candidates looking for 4 or 5 days per week, making this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking either part-time or full-time employment.

This is an excellent role for an organised professional who enjoys working in a busy legal practice and takes pride in delivering a high standard of client service. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience as a legal secretary, particularly in personal injury litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and formatting legal documents and correspondence
  • Managing filing, photocopying and general administrative duties
  • Liaising with clients, external solicitors and Counsel
  • Preparing briefs for Counsel and books of pleadings for Court
  • Managing diaries, appointments and court dates
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in litigation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Experience drafting legal correspondence
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
  • A professional, friendly and client-focused manner
