About the Role

YSS Security Services is recruiting reliable, professional Static Security Guards to join our team on client sites across Galway City and surrounding areas.

We have immediate opportunities for full-time and part-time static guards to support commercial properties, construction sites, healthcare, retail centers, and industrial premises.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Access Control: Managing building entry, recording visitor logs, and monitoring staff access points.

* Manned Guarding & Patrols: Conducting internal and external physical foot patrols to protect assets, equipment, and premises.

* Loss & Theft Prevention: Monitoring for unauthorized access, trespass, vandalism, or theft.

* Site Monitoring: Keeping site occurrence logs and monitoring basic access/CCTV equipment where required.

* Incident Response: Responding to site alarms or incidents calmly and writing brief incident reports.

Requirements

* Valid PSA Licence (Static Guarding licence essential).

* Right to Work in Ireland.

* Fluent in English with strong written communication skills for writing occurrence logs.

* Punctual, reliable, and comfortable working independently on-site.

* Ability to work shift patterns (including day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts).

Pay & Benefits

* Standard ERO Rates: Paid strictly in accordance with the Security Industry Employment Regulation Order (ERO).

* Base Rate: €16.15/hr from 28 September 2026.

* Premiums: Statutory ERO Sunday and night shift allowances applied.

* Hours: Stable rosters with options for additional shifts.
