Service Advisor

Location: South Dublin

Shifts: Monday to Friday (7am–4pm or 2pm–11pm)

Annual Leave: 21 days + public holidays

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €45,000 - €52,000 per year (depending on experience)

Role Overview:

As a Service Advisor, you will be the key liaison between our customers and the workshop team. You’ll ensure a smooth and professional experience from booking to vehicle handover, providing technical guidance and clear communication throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Communication:
  • Act as the first point of contact for service inquiries.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers, including county council fleet managers and leasing company representatives.
  • Provide clear explanations of work required and associated costs.
  • Technical Support:
  • Translate customer concerns into technical instructions for technicians.
  • Offer basic technical advice and support to customers where appropriate.
  • Job Coordination:
  • Schedule and allocate jobs based on technician availability and skillset.
  • Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in final checks and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle post-service follow-ups and resolve any issues.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate service records and job cards.
  • Use workshop management software to track jobs and update customer details.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Workshop Foreman and Technicians.
  • Support training initiatives and promote best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical or service advisory role (post-apprenticeship or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of commercial vehicle systems and repair processes.
  • Experience working with public sector or fleet clients is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Computer literate with experience using workshop management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Pay: €45,000.00-€52,000.00 per year
