ROLE SUMMARY

As the National Sales Manager for Insulation, you will have full P&L responsibility for the performance of the Insulation business for SIG in Ireland. You will work with the Managing Director and your team of sales representatives to determine and implement a strategy which secures sustainable long-term sales and profit growth for the Insulation business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy and Vision – Develop and implement a commercial strategy which delivers sustainable revenue and profit growth for the business.
  • Leadership – Be a strong leader of your team by helping them to fulfil their potential and working collaboratively with other people within the business to identify opportunities to improve our performance.
  • Customer Relationships – Ensure that you and your team manage and develop existing customer relationships and identify new customer categories or individual customer accounts to grow revenue and market share.
  • Supplier Relationships – Work with the Category & Marketing Manager to manage and develop key supplier relationships. Ensure that we negotiate the best terms possible and that your team’s knowledge and expertise on all products is relevant and up to date.
  • Market Intelligence – Monitor trends in the construction industry and identify emerging commercial opportunities and threats.
  • People and Culture – Build a high-performing sales team through effective people management and recruitment. Ensure that you and your team contribute to building a strong culture within SIG by encouraging positive behaviours and challenging negative ones.
  • Health & Safety – Ensure that you and your team observe all relevant health & safety requirements on our sites and those of our customers and suppliers.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Third level degree in business or a construction-related area would be preferable but is not necessary.

Knowledge / Experience / Technical competencies:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the sales function of a construction related company.
  • Sales management experience.
  • Good understanding of P&L and gross margin management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and construction processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • Full Clean Driving License.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €75,000.00-€85,000.00 per year
