Full job description

The O’Neills Photography Department is seeking a photographer/editor to join our expanding team in:

  • Generating product photography (still life/mannequins) in our in-house studio
  • Collaborating on eCommerce photoshoots with youth & adult models
  • Processing imagery to our high company standards for eCommerce and print
  • Managing merchandise & file administration

In general, the candidate will be required to operate/train in our product & modelling photography process, including the use of automated photo machines and studio flash. Processing will include colour corrections, ghosting mannequins and superimposing, amongst other techniques that require comprehensive Photoshop knowledge. Our file management necessitates strong computer skills, administration of the workflow including file naming conventions, and a willingness to get to know our diverse range of merchandise inside out. The role will be responsible for seeing through the life cycle of each product, from self-scheduling around deliveries and deadlines, through physical photography, to delivering of assets for online retail.

During busy periods, we turn around a high volume of imagery on tight deadlines, and so a person who can adapt to the company’s needs quickly will be ideal. Upkeep and maintenance of the studio and its equipment is essential, as well as the organisation of a constant flow of merchandise serving various departments. The candidate must be a team player and collaborate with the wider team on their needs, while also taking direction from the studio manager.

Please note that this role necessitates working on-site full time.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous professional photography experience
  • Great Photoshop skills
  • A digital portfolio of past work (mandatory upon initial application)
  • The ability to work within a team
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A positive attitude with willingness to adapt & learn quickly on the job
  • Fluent English
