REQUIREMENTS
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, Health Service Skills, Community Care, Nursing Studies/Pre-Nursing, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in Intellectual Disability facilities
- A minimum of 120 hours completed clinical placement or relevant healthcare experience.
- A minimum of three satisfactory employment references.
- Current Patient Moving & Handling and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification, or willingness to complete/update training as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full driver's licence and access to your own vehicle (where required).
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Garda Vetting will be required as part of the recruitment process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Assist service users with activities of daily living, including personal care where required.
- Support individuals with mobility needs and safe moving and handling practices.
- Monitor and report changes in a service user's condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and health and safety policies at all times.
- Support service users in maintaining their comfort, wellbeing, and quality of life.
- Deliver care in a respectful, compassionate, and professional manner.
