Full job description

Stambridge Group are a rapidly expanding company with national sites providing cross-industry services, as well as specialist staff for events across the UK.

There are currently vacancies for Stewards and PSA Door Supervisor licenced individuals for work at the Electric Picnic in August. Applicants must have a flexible, proactive approach and be comfortable with assisting with a range of stewarding duties including customer service and crowd management support. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, engaging with the public and being part of high-profile, fast paced events.

Essential requirements:

  • Full PSA Door Supervisor License (unless applying for stewarding position)
  • Clean and tidy, good standard of personal hygiene
  • Must be available from 28th August - 30th August and eligible to work in the UK
  • Ability to work independently and / or as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to hours and duties
  • Transport won't be provided so you must be able to efficiently get yourself to site
  • Camping is provided
  • Catering & Facilities on site are also provided

Skills:

  • Proven management skills with the ability to oversee large crowds efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of handling difficult situations calmly and professionally
  • Ability to remain alert and vigilant during long shifts, demonstrating attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor areas to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property
  • Assist guests with enquiries, providing excellent hospitality and guest services
  • Manage crowd control, ensuring orderly movement of attendees during events
  • Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, liaising with emergency services when necessary
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the event to deter misconduct or unsafe behaviour

Positions are subject to change and the opportunities are endless:

  • Event Control - Using radios to communicate with all staff and liaising/working closely with event suppliers and emergency services
  • Event Control Logger - Keeping detailed notes of all communicated incidents
  • Event Control CCTV Operator - Operation of CCTV cameras across a large area, responding to the Event Controller
  • Search Gates - Ensuring festival goers are not bringing in prohibited items and confiscating those that have
  • Campsite Patrols - Maintaining a safe, friendly environment for all types of customers
  • Access Control - Confirming wristbands/passes
  • Response Drivers - Responding to incidents generally relayed by Event Control
  • Stage/Pit Staff - Ensuring the safety of customers and monitoring crowd movement/activity
  • Crowd Management/Queue Control - Ensuring the safety of customers upon entry and monitoring for overcrowding
  • Welfare/Medical Teams - Providing First Aid and assistance if required
  • External Patrols - Communicating with general public and residents

Staff will be required to camp in a designated staff campsite (away from the festival goers) and therefore will need to bring camping equipment with them- a tent, sleeping bag etc. Showers and toilets are provided. Electrical power points available for charging devices.

Pay: €15.98-€19.78 per hour
