The Global Experience Immigration and Support Officer has responsibility for the coordination, delivery and evaluation of visa and immigration supports to prospective, inbound, and current Trinity international students, including those coming to Trinity on mobility, and Trinity students participating in outbound mobility. The role involves online and in-person query and individual case management; resource development (website, social media); and workshop delivery. The role further provides up-to-date information, support, and training to Trinity professional and academic staff on a range of student immigration items. The role-holder will act as the key liaison and contact point on immigration with government agencies and relevant diplomatic missions in Ireland and abroad, as appropriate.
The role-holder will report to the Trinity Global Experience Manager. The role-holder will be based in the Global Room in the Watts/Hamilton Building, and, given the nature of the role, required to work in the office for at least three days per week, with occasional full weeks on-site at key times of the year (e.g. Orientation). Some flexibility will be offered as and when required.
This is a full-time role in Ireland. We require that you hold immigration permission that allows full-time employment in this role. For this position we will not be able to support new employment permit applications.
Post Status: 1 Year Fixed Term
The post holder will support the continued operation and administration within Trinity Global Room’ Students Immigration and Supports activities during a defined period of strategic transition. The role is required on a temporary basis to ensure continuity of service delivery during an interim period pending the progression and final approval of the business case associated with Global Relations Strategy 4 (GRS4), which will be led by the incoming VP of Global Engagement. Employment is not offered on an indefinite basis
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: Appointment will be made on the Administrative Officer 3 (€47,374 - €59,254 per annum) and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.” https://www.tcd.ie/hr/employee-services/pay-scales/
