Job Title: Team Leader / Social Care Worker / Support Worker (New Respite Centre)

We are thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new, purpose-built Children’s Disability Respite Centre in County Donegal. This brand-new service is easily commutable for candidates across Northern Ireland, including Derry, Londonderry, Strabane, and Omagh (Tyrone)!

Our mission is to provide safe, fun, and empowering short breaks for children with disabilities while offering essential support to their families. We are building a dynamic, compassionate, and high-performing team from the ground up to establish a warm, home-away-from-home environment.

1. Social Care Team Leader

[Salary range: 40k - 45k per year]

  • The Role: Assist the PIC in daily operations, mentor care teams, supervise shift handovers, and ensure individual support plans are executed seamlessly.

Requirements:

  • Level 7/8 Degree in Social Care or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience working with children with intellectual disabilities or complex needs.
  • Proven leadership qualities and strong crisis-management skills.

2. Social Care Workers (SCW)

  • The Role: Direct care provision, plan fun respite activities, support daily living routines, and serve as keyworkers for children staying at the centre.

Requirements:

  • Level 7/8 Degree in Social Care (or CORU-equivalent/approved qualification).
  • Previous experience supporting children or adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, or sensory needs.
  • Passion for creating inclusive, interactive respite experiences.

3. Support Workers / Healthcare Assistants

  • The Role: Support children with personal care, recreational activities, meal preparation, and personal development during their respite stays.

Requirements:

  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or Intellectual Disability.
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and a strong team player.
  • Experience in residential or respite care settings is an advantage.

Essential Criteria for All Roles

  • Full, clean Irish/EU Driving Licence (preferred).
