Full job description

Care Network Ireland is recruiting Care Assistants for elderly care services in Co. Dublin. Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.


Key duties:


  • Provide personal care and support with daily activities.
  • Support patients and service users in a respectful, person-centred way.
  • Work with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow infection prevention, health and safety procedures.
  • Assist with meals and follow food safety/HACCP requirements.
  • Safely assist with the movement of patients and equipment.


Requirements:

  • QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, with all 8 modules completed, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Minimum 150 hours of relevant care experience in a residential, hospital or community setting.
  • Relevant training in Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Food Safety/HACCP and CPI/PMAV.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • International Police Clearance may be required where applicable.
