The Hive Childcare is growing, and we are looking for warm, reliable and enthusiastic people to join our team across our school-age childcare services in Swords, Kinsealy and Donabate.

We are recruiting for a range of roles, including:

Senior Educators

We have opportunities for both experienced childcare workers and people who are newer to the sector but have the right attitude, energy and commitment to working with children.

About the role

Our teams support children before and after school, during school holidays and through our summer programmes. The work is active, varied and child-centred, with a strong focus on creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children can relax, play, build friendships and feel supported.

You may be involved in:

  • Supervising and supporting children during afterschool sessions
  • Planning and leading games, activities, creative projects and outdoor play
  • Supporting children’s wellbeing, friendships and emotional regulation
  • Helping with snacks, routines, transitions and daily service setup
  • Working as part of a team to create a positive and organised environment
  • Communicating professionally with colleagues, parents and management
  • Supporting summer camps and holiday programmes

We are looking for people who are:

A full driving licence and access to a car would be a huge advantage, particularly where flexibility across locations is possible.

Experience and qualifications

Experience in childcare, education, youth work, camps, SEN support, coaching or similar roles would be very welcome.

For senior roles, previous experience in childcare or school-age services is required, along with confidence supporting daily operations, leading activities and helping guide junior team members.
