Full job description

CAW are looking to fulfil the role of Team leader, in a permanent role. The Team Leader will have previous knowledge and experience of wastewater and sludge treatment or similar, with a proven track record in plant fault finding and troubleshooting.

The role will require the candidate to work as lead of a team and on an individual basis across all areas of the plant. A recognised qualification in a relevant discipline would be to the candidate’s advantage.

Main responsibilities:

· Supervise & manage a team of Operators carry out JPA’s, PDR’s and discipline procedures

· Organise shift rotation and always ensure adequate cover

· Cross over training is carried out and adequate cover for all areas of the plant across all shifts

· Plant and equipment and operated safely and efficiently

· Complete isolation section of work permits for CAW maintenance staff and contractors

· Report & track maintenance issues

· Co-ordinate with Operations Manager & Process Engineers around process changes and optimisation

· Ensure tools, safety equipment and PPE are provided and checked

· Prepare operational risk assessments, method statements and SOPs

· All operator tasks are carried out safely & procedures followed, examples of these tasks:

o Proper housekeeping is always maintained

o Accurate data acquisition and recording

o Routine cleaning & inspections are carried out

o Recording of all necessary information in site logbooks.

o Correct isolation of equipment prior to maintenance work

o Health and safety checks carried out correctly, as required

· Participate in on-call rota

Candidates should have a suitable proficiency in computing, daily administration and recording associated with the operation of a modern wastewater treatment plant.

Pay: From €45,000.00 per year
