Full job description

We're currently recruiting in our Cork City Centre Premier Inn. Working 25 hours per week, paying up to €14.85 per hour.

Ground Floor Team Member – Cork City Centre Premier Inn

You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.
As a Ground Floor Team Member, you’ll welcome guests, help them check in, answer questions, serve breakfast or dinner and do whatever it takes to help their stay go smoothly.
No two shifts are quite the same. One moment you could be helping a family check in before their holiday. The next you might be serving breakfast, recommending somewhere local to eat or helping solve a problem for a guest.

Pay, hours and location
Pay: Up to €14.85 per hour
Contract: Fixed Term Contract with an end date of 31/10/2026
Hours: 25 guaranteed hours per week.
Location: Cork City Centre Premier Inn, 11 Morrison's Quay, Cork, Ireland, T12 VX63
Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do
As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.

Depending on where you’re needed, you might:
  • Welcome guests and help them check in
  • Serve breakfast or evening meals
  • Answer questions and help solve problems
  • Help keep the reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best
  • Support your teammates across the hotel when things get busy
  • Make sure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure
This isn’t a role where you'll spend your shift in one place. You’ll be helping guests, supporting teammates and keeping the hotel running smoothly.

You don’t need hotel experience
Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.
If you’re friendly, enjoy helping people and can stay calm when it’s busy, we’ll teach you the rest.

Why join Premier Inn?
You’ll be joining a team that supports each other from day one.
We’ll give you the training to feel confident in every part of the role, whether you’re checking in guests, serving breakfast or helping someone who’s had a long day and just wants to get settled.
As you build your experience, you’ll have opportunities to learn new skills and explore different roles across Premier Inn.

What you’ll get
  • Permanent contract (we don't do zero-hours contracts)
  • Full training and support from day one
  • Opportunities to learn new skills and develop your career
  • Whitbread Benefits Card – up to 60% off Premier Inn rooms
  • Company pension and Save As You Earn scheme
  • Discounts on shopping, travel, cinema, supermarkets and more
Is this role right for you?

If you:
  • Like being busy and working with people
  • Stay calm under pressure
  • Enjoy taking the initiative
  • Want a role where every day is different…
…then we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and help make every stay a great one.
