About Joule:

From our state-of-the-art production facilities we design, develop, manufacture and distribute Heating, Hot Water and Ventilation products using innovative designs and the most up-to-date production methods, primarily for sale into the European market and with growing worldwide sales.

The Role:

We are seeking an MEP Technical Support Engineer with Plumbing/Electrical/Refrigeration experience to join the Technical Support team in Galway. The role is based in our Galway office.

Candidates - please note this is NOT an IT position. It requires plumbing or electrical experience.

Job description

The engineer will be part of a technical support team, providing technical support and training on all Joule products and systems to customers and internal staff. More specifically the Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Installation, maintenance and fault-finding support on their range of Heat Pumps, heating, hot water and ventilation products and systems.
  • Provide technical support to clients and customers and staff.
  • Work as part of a team to solve problems and provide solutions for the client.
  • Create technical content related to Joule Products.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Plumbing/Electrical/Refrigeration experience.
  • Excellent Communications skills.
  • Strong customer focus and telephone manner
  • Be able to work well as part of a team whilst also having the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Strong IT and analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The following would be an advantage

  • Ventilation and Heat pump design and its integration in buildings.
  • Qualifications in a trade such as electrical, plumbing, or refrigeration.
  • Qualifications in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, energy or building services.
  • Part L & Part F Building regulations
  • UK & Irish Building Regulations
  • Building industry rules and regulations for heating, plumbing, electricity and Refrigeration.

Work Schedule:

  • 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday
  • Office Based (Galway)
