Full job description

Introduction to the job

Do you like working with your hands and building technical products? As an Assembler Technician, you help build some of the most advanced machines in the world. These machines are used to make computer chips. You can find these chips in phones, cars, medical equipment, and many other products that people use every day.

At ASML, you work in a clean and modern workplace. Teamwork, quality, and careful work are important. You will receive training and support from experienced colleagues. This helps you develop your technical skills and grow in your job. Whether you already have experience in assembly or learned technical skills in another job, this role gives you the chance to learn and contribute.

This position is based in the Netherlands. ASML arranges and supports your full relocation, including the move to the Netherlands and settling in so you can focus on your work and your new life here.

Role and responsibilities

You will follow a training program and you will build on your existing technical skills to learn how to assemble ASML products. You will use tools, work instructions, and technical drawings to do your work correctly and safely.

You will:

  • Assemble mechanical parts and modules using tools and work instructions.
  • Install, adjust, and align components with a high level of accuracy.
  • Check and test parts and machines to make sure they work correctly.
  • Find and solve technical problems together with your team.
  • Follow safety guidelines and keep your workplace clean and organized.
  • Share updates about your work and help improve the assembly process.

Education and experience

You do not need to know everything before you start. We are looking for people with a technical background who enjoy practical work and want to keep learning.
You have:

  • A vocational/practical qualification in a technical field (further Education and Training (FET), QQI Levels 4–6), such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive technology, installation technology, or a similar area.
  • Or relevant technical work experience in assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or production.
  • Experience working with tools and technical equipment.
  • Experience reading technical drawings or work instructions.
  • Good practical and mechanical skills.
  • Good level of English for daily communication and work instructions.

Do you have strong technical experience but not all the qualifications listed above? We would still like to hear from you.

Skills

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Work well with others in a team environment.
  • Focus on quality and pay attention to detail.
  • Solve problems in a practical and structured way.
  • Adapt easily when priorities change.
  • Look for opportunities to improve your work and processes.

Other information

This Assembler Technician position is based in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.

You will work in a two-shift schedule:

Early shift: 06:30 – 15:30
Late shift: 15:00 – 00:00

You will work one weekend each month. Working shifts can affect your daily routine and sleeping pattern. At the same time, shift work gives you more free time during the day. You can use this time for hobbies, friends, or family. You will receive an extra allowance for working shifts.

ASML supports learning and personal development. As an Assembler Technician, you can learn new skills, take on new responsibilities, and grow within an international technology company.

For this position, the expected fixed annual salary is between €47,500 and €53,500. This amount includes holiday allowance and a 13th-month payment and is based on a full-time contract. Profit sharing is not included. Because this is a shift position, you will receive a shift allowance on top of your salary. Your final salary will depend on factors such as your skills, education, work experience, certifications, and performance during the selection process.

Do you need to relocate to the Netherlands? If you have to move to the Netherlands? If so, we will support you throughout the process and arrange temporary accommodation for you.
