Our aim is to be the trusted partner in genetics and decision support, adding measurable value for herd owners.

We are seeking an organised, reliable and customer-focused EDIY Technician to support dairy farmers in the Clonmel area.

This is a structured, schedule-driven role involving the timely delivery and collection of milk-recording equipment and providing farmers with clear guidance on its correct use and maintenance. The successful candidate will manage an assigned list of farmers, each with an agreed number of milk-recording tests to be completed annually. Strong planning, accurate record-keeping and consistently meeting testing deadlines are essential to the role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Scheduling and timely delivery of recording equipment (meters, data handlers, vials etc.) to DIY farmers within the Clonmel area.
  • Uploading and downloading of data to database in line with schedules to ensure turnaround times are at a minimum.
  • Provide professional training and support to DIY farmers on use of equipment, ensuring that any problems are dealt with expeditiously and to the customers’ satisfaction.
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and in working order prior to drop off
  • Actively promoting DIY Milk Recording in your area.

Applicants for this position must:

  • Full Clean Driving License
  • Strong organisational, scheduling and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple farmer requirements and meet firm deadlines.
  • Confidence using standard computer systems and uploading or downloading data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be highly self-motivated, proactive and capable of working independently.
  • Have knowledge of the dairy industry
  • Be flexible and available to work to the requirements of our farming customers.
