Full job description

Role: To ensure effective servicing of equipment in the test centres of the Southwest Region, and ongoing preventative maintenance to maximise uptime of the facilities in all Centres. These regions will include Cahirciveen, Killarney, Tralee, Nenagh, Ennis, Limerick Etc.

Follow controlled procedures and perform activities within defined timescales. To conduct this in an efficient manner, offering a quality service to the public and provide and maintain an efficient service within his/her Test Centre and the Organisation.

In addition, the successful candidate will be required to analyse calibration/consistency data along with test outcome results.

Key Accountabilities

· Execute ongoing preventative maintenance routines and ensure that servicing is carried out in line with policy and as required.

· Liaise with Test Centre Managers, Supervisors and fellow Maintenance Technicians.

· Respond to unforeseen breakdown within a defined timeframe.

· Regularly monitoring the calibration of test equipment

· Responsible for stores / Spare Parts Requisition

· Analysing test outcome reports/calibration/consistency data

· Take Responsibility and work autonomously

· Organisation and efficiency

· Time Management

· Customer Service/Focus & support

· Flexibility

· Fully aware of NCTS Integrity Programme

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies Required:

· A recognised electrical qualification or equivalent

· Experience in maintenance engineering in mechanical, pneumatics & hydraulics

· Excellent excel & analytical skills with an aptitude for statistics is essential

· Proven supervisory experience is essential

· Experience of investigation techniques that focus on system causes, common cause & root cause

· Computer skills – ability to install, operate and problem solve

· Full clean driving licence

· Experience of working independently covering a network of sites

· Report writing and good documentation/administrative skills

· Ability to work effectively both on your own and as part of a team

· Clear Knowledge of Software installation
