Floor Staff typically work in restaurants, cafes, and cafeterias, providing essential support to the wait staff. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this role:

  • Responsibilities:
  • Clearing Dirty Tableware: Counter Staff remove used dishes and utensils from dining tables and take them to the kitchen for washing.
  • Welcoming Patrons: They serve complimentary snacks to patrons upon their arrival and assist them in locating suitable dining tables.
  • Setting Tables: Counter Staff set tables with clean linen, napkins, tableware, and condiments.
  • Stocking Server Stations: They ensure that server stations are adequately stocked with tableware, napkins, and condiments.
  • Assisting Wait Staff: Counter Staff help deliver meal items to patrons as needed and assist in processing patrons’ payments.
  • Clean-Up Duties: This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and polishing counters and fixtures.
  • Answering Patron Questions: Counter Staff address inquiries regarding meal ingredients and preparation.
