Prescription Services Doctor - Anywhere in Ireland (Remote)
Who we are:
Webdoctor is Ireland’s largest online primary care provider, offering telemedicine services which provide access to world-class medical care through computer or mobile phone applications. The role of a Prescription Services doctor is to provide high quality clinical care and efficient service to our network of patients through our written online prescription services.
Webdoctor has developed a bespoke medical platform that provides patients with convenient access to a variety of prescription-only treatments for conditions such as hay fever, acne, thrush, rosacea and contraception within the limitations of specific clinical criteria. In this role at Webdoctor you will be responsible for the clinical assessment and safe prescribing of medicines through our platform.

What is the role?
You will be involved in the daily review of prescription requests from patients through our service. You will be responsible for the medical review of the patient’s application, and the prescription of medicines if the application is approved. You will also review and share clinical reports and perform other duties as agreed by the medical management team.
The role will involve reporting to our Chief Medical Officer to ensure a safe level of care for all our patients.
This is your job if you are looking for a Primary Care position which is well supported by an experienced clinical team with flexible working hours, done 100% remotely from the comfort of your own home office.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Daily review of prescription service requests through our virtual clinic.
- Sharing of clinical reports on our patient’s profile and answering patient messages.
- Safe and accurate assessment of patient requests and the prescription of medication if deemed appropriate.
- Escalating or flagging issues to the medical director team or management teams as necessary.
- To assist the clinical team with other service related duties as they arise.
What are we looking for?
- Essential requirements:
- A doctor currently registered with the Irish Medical Council.
- Excellent standard of written English.
- Working hours are Monday Friday - 4 hours per day 2pm/3pm - 6pm/7pm
- Computer literate (Prior experience with Apple products is a bonus).
- Must be currently living in the Republic of Ireland. 3+ years of clinical experience post primary qualification
- Desirable requirements:
- Primary Care/General Practice experience.
