Full job description

HeadStuff Podcasts is home to some of Ireland's favourite podcasts, and a platform to share great ideas with the world. Current shows include Young Hot Guys, The Lovely Show, Agony Rants, The Seán Chorus, Your Internet Boyfriends, The Dating Orange, The Greatest Matter, Gaylinn and many more.

We operate out of The Podcast Studios in Dublin city centre, where we produce both audio and video podcasts for our own network, as well as for leading brands, organisations, and independent creators. Beyond production, we offer industry consultations, workshops, and training courses.

We are seeking a Network Podcast Producer to help run, promote, and grow HeadStuff Podcasts.

The ideal candidate lives and breathes podcasts. You are the person all your friends go to for podcast recommendations. You have strong opinions on what makes a great show, you analyse why certain shows blow up, and you’re constantly following pop culture and media trends. You listen to, watch, critique, recommend, post about, talk about podcasts. Incessantly. And you want MORE!

Working alongside our Network Co-ordinator, you will combine hands-on studio production and administrative support with strategic creative growth.

Qualifications, Critical Skills & Attitude

  • Audio & Video Editing Experience: Hands-on experience with audio and video podcast editing (we use Adobe Audition and Premiere). We will provide training and upskilling, but solid baseline technical competence is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: A background in the podcast industry or a closely related area (radio, TV, music, digital marketing, content creation). You understand how podcast promotion and audience growth work, and you come with distinct opinions and strategy.
  • Marketing & Promotional Knowledge: Understanding of short-form video strategies (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), digital content distribution, and modern tactics for acquiring and retaining audiences.
  • Irish Media Landscape Awareness: A sharp eye for what is happening in Irish media. Who is selling out live gigs, who is building a viral following online, who just published a book, and who needs a podcast?
  • Initiative & Ownership: You take the initiative, are not afraid to pitch bold new ideas, and bring a motivated, self-starter approach to working both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production & Operations: Handle ongoing audio and video editing alongside admin tasks around studio bookings, episode scheduling, and set builds.
  • Talent & Partner Relations: Manage relationships with hosts and guests, build strong connections, and partner directly with major podcast platforms.
  • Show & Network Promotion: Work on established and new ways to promote individual shows and the network, including executing social media growth strategies.
  • Show Development: Partner with our Network Co-ordinator to research, pitch, and develop brand-new shows and format refreshes.
  • Commercial & Growth Support: Support advertising and sponsorship campaigns, and track/measure network targets (audience growth, retention, HeadStuff+ memberships).
  • Community Building: Lead audience feedback, surveys, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by the CEO.

What We Offer:

  • Learning Environment: We are a small, supportive, tight-knit team. We will give you responsibility and everything you need to be at your very best.
  • Real Input: As a small team, your input will be sought and valued. You will directly contribute to the future direction of the company and feel a genuine sense of ownership.
  • Development & Progression: We will work with you to set goals that provide a clear roadmap for your career progression within the company.
  • Unique Client Exposure: Work with brands, celebrities, influencers, and a diverse client base—there aren't many workplaces where you might meet a world-famous actor, a TD, a scientist, and a comedian all in a single day!
  • Thriving Market: Podcasts and video are growing rapidly. You will build valuable contacts, knowledge, and expertise in a fresh, dynamic, and thriving industry.
  • Culture: A flexible, non-corporate, and creative work environment.

Our Package

  • We offer 20 holiday days initially (increasing every year), and an additional day off for your birthday
  • We offer a hybrid working environment (typically 4 days in the studio, and one day remote) with an office in The Podcast Studios, just off Pearse Street in Dublin City Centre
  • You will be entitled to participate in our continuous professional development fund
  • We offer health insurance to our staff
  • We have a pension policy in place
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Staff activities every month
  • Wellness program
  • Sick pay
  • Free membership of HeadStuff+ platform
