Technical Support Specialist; EV Charger Commissioning

With over 75 employees and growing, ePower designs, installs, and maintains domestic, commercial, and public EV charging infrastructure and Solar PV. Established in 2019, ePower support the transition to clean energy with reliable, scalable solutions for homes, businesses, and public transport across Ireland.

Role Overview

Our Technical Support Team, at ePower is focused on delivering high-quality service, improving customer satisfaction, and supporting long-term customer retention.

As a Technical Support Specialist; EV Charger Commissioning , within our growing Technical Support team, you will be responsible for the commissioning, servicing, and repair of EV charging equipment including AC and DC chargers, related network equipment, and energy management systems.

You will be primarily based in our Cork office role with some site visits as required.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Perform in-house and on-site commissioning, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Identify technical faults and determine appropriate solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service and commissioning reports
  • Document processes in line with company procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate within the Technical Support team and across the organisation to implement solutions and improvements for the end customer
  • Share knowledge within the Technical Support team and across the organisation
  • Assess customer requirements and make appropriate technical recommendations
  • Install and configure EV chargers, verify technical setup, and complete QA documentation
  • Support and guide contractors on-site to ensure quality and compliance
  • Deliver services within agreed SLAs and maintain complete, auditable records

Skills & Experience

  • Third-level qualification, (Min Level 7) in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent will be a distinct advantage
  • Electrical competence (experience with single and three-phase equipment)
  • Previous field service or commissioning experience preferred
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
  • Passionate about and ability to learn new technologies and game changing products
  • Dedicated to meeting the requirements of internal and/or external Customers
  • Very strong Time and Priority Management Skills
  • Skilled at Reliably delivering on tasks and goals
  • Skilled at follows established processes reliably and identifying opportunities to improve
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate within and across teams
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
