Full job description

is seeking a motivated and friendly OTC Pharmacy Sales Assistant to join our team at our pharmacy in Kilmallock. This is a full-time position offering an excellent entry point into healthcare retail, with full training provided.Job Role Overview

  • Location: Keatings CarePlus Pharmacy, Kilmallock.
  • Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week.
  • Schedule: Includes working every second weekend.
  • Experience: No previous pharmacy experience required, but previous retail experience is a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Welcoming customers, assisting with queries, and providing excellent service at the counter.
  • OTC Product Advice: Advising customers on over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, skincare, and healthcare products (following appropriate training).
  • Till Operations: Processing cash and card transactions accurately using the pharmacy point-of-sale system.
  • Stock Management: Merchandising, restocking shelves, managing stock rotation, and maintaining a clean, tidy shop floor.
  • Team Collaboration: Working alongside our dispensary team and pharmacists to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements & Skills

  • Strong communication skills and a warm, approachable personality.
  • High reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
  • Retail experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.
  • Fluency in English is required.
