The Role

As a Relief Chef, you'll support kitchen teams during busy periods, planned leave cover, and staffing shortages while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.

• Prepare and cook fresh meals to a consistently high standard
• Ensure food is delivered efficiently during service periods
• Follow all HACCP and food safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment
• Assist with stock rotation, storage, and waste control
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and catering teams
• Adapt quickly to different sites and kitchen operations

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
• Experience within healthcare, hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or contract catering is desirable
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage service demands
• A reliable, flexible, and professional approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Own transport is advantageous for some locations
