West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by John O'Connell, Denis McCarthy and Ger McCarthy and has since grown to a team of over 200 people based in our distillery in Skibbereen, Co. Cork and our Waterford site Donohoe Drinks. We are built on an entrepreneurial energy and a passion for the science and art of spirit and whiskey production.


We have been recognised for our innovative approach, and credited with maturing, distilling and bottling some of the finest craft Irish Whiskey on the global market today.


We are looking for..


We are currently looking for Bottling Production Operatives to join our team in West Cork Distillers.

As a Bottling Operative you will play a key role in our Bottling Team. This is one of the largest teams in West Cork Distillers where our products and our customers' products are bottled, packed and exported to over 70 countries across the globe.


What you'll do...


  • Labelling and packing products.
  • Building products on correct pallets, ensuring they are built straight and in the correct configuration for stability during transportation.
  • Ensuring all procedures in relation to bottling from start of production to dispatch are followed.
  • Ensuring all pallets are adequately wrapped and dust cap placed on top.
  • Ensuring all records, bottle records, end of line checks and finished pallet records etc are completed in full and maintained at all times.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, production and packing standards and governing legal standards are adhered to at all times without exception.
  • Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene is maintained.
  • Taking personal responsibility for ensuring that the plant is in an 'audit ready' state at all times paying particular attention to cleanliness, production records and security.
  • Monitoring condition of bottles, labels and packaging before, during and after production and inform QC of any issues.
  • Ensuring all procedures followed to guarantee traceability guidelines are maintained.
  • Ensuring Forklift and pallet truck procedure is adhered to at all times.
  • Flexibility may be required to undertake additional/other duties on occasion, based on business needs and requirements.
