Full job description

Retail Jewellery Sales Consultant

Neville Jewellers – Douglas & Wilton Shopping Centres

Bring Your Experience to Something New

Neville Jewellers is looking for an experienced, dependable and personable Sales Consultant to join our established retail team.

You don’t need to have worked in jewellery before. Some of the qualities we value most — confidence with people, good judgement, reliability, patience and the ability to build trust — are developed through years of work and life experience.

This role may particularly appeal to someone considering a career change or a return to the workplace, or an experienced retail, hospitality, banking, travel or customer-service professional looking for a new long-term career.

Jewellery is a very personal purchase. Our customers come to us for engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and other important moments in their lives. Many return to us for years.

That’s why we’re looking for someone who enjoys getting to know customers, listening to them and helping them make the right choice — not simply making a sale.

The Role

You will:

  • Provide warm, knowledgeable and professional service to our customers.
  • Help customers choose jewellery and watches for important occasions.
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers and encourage repeat business.
  • Take pride in presenting and maintaining our jewellery collections.
  • Work as part of a small, experienced retail team.
  • Develop specialist knowledge of jewellery, diamonds and watches through professional training.

The Person We’re Looking For

We’d particularly like to hear from people who:

  • Have experience in retail, sales, hospitality, banking, travel or another customer-facing environment.
  • Are dependable, organised and comfortable taking responsibility.
  • Have confidence dealing with people from different backgrounds and age groups.
  • Are patient, personable and good listeners.
  • Take pride in providing excellent service.
  • Are commercially aware and comfortable selling quality products.
  • Would like to become an established member of a team and develop genuine expertise over time.

Previous jewellery experience is not essential.

What matters more to us is the experience, judgement and people skills you can bring to the role. We will provide specialist jewellery and product training.

What We Offer

  • A stable position with an established Irish jewellery business.
  • Internationally accredited jewellery training.
  • Specialist diamond, jewellery, watch and sales training.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • A supportive and experienced team.
  • The opportunity to develop genuine professional expertise.
  • A role where experience, good judgement and personal service are genuinely valued.

Considering a Change?

Perhaps you’ve spent years working with customers and would now like to do something different. Perhaps you’re returning to work after some time away. Or perhaps you’re simply looking for a role where your experience and people skills will be appreciated.

You don’t need to know everything about jewellery before you join us — we can teach jewellery. We’re looking for the qualities that are much harder to teach: reliability, judgement, confidence with people and genuine customer care.

If that sounds like you, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

  • Bike to work scheme
  • Company events
  • Employee discount

  • Tell us about a role where you built relationships with customers over time. What did you enjoy about it?
