Care Connect Group is recruiting Full-Time and Part-Time Home Care Assistants / Community Support Workers to join our growing team across East Cork and the surrounding areas.

Working as a Home Care Assistant / Community Support Worker with Care Connect Group means becoming an important part of the lives of the people we support.

Our community-based care team provides practical, personal and emotional support to individuals in their own homes, helping them to maintain their independence, dignity, choice and quality of life.

Most importantly, you will take the time to understand the individual, their preferences, routines and goals, and provide support in a way that is person-centred, respectful and compassionate.

As a Community Support Worker, you can make a real difference by helping people to remain in their own homes and continue doing the things that are important to them.

What Does a Community-Based Role Involve?

Your role may include:

• Providing high-quality personal care while maintaining the person's dignity, privacy and independence.

• Supporting individuals with their daily routines and activities of living.

• Assisting with mobility and following safe moving and handling practices.

• Preparing meals and supporting individuals with their nutritional needs.

• Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.

• Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.

• Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support and their families.

• Following individual care plans and working as part of a wider care team.

• Communicating effectively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals when required.

• Providing reliable, compassionate and consistent support in people's own homes.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate people who want to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Qualifications

You should have:

• QQI Level 5 Modules in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person, or an equivalent qualification; or

• Be currently enrolled in these modules.

Mandatory Training

• Up-to-date Patient Moving and Handling Certificate

• Completion of all mandatory HSELand training

Garda Vetting

You must be willing to undergo Garda Vetting.

The cost of Garda Vetting is fully covered by Care Connect Group.

Communication

Excellent written and spoken English is required, as clear communication is an essential part of providing safe, respectful and person-centred care.

Right to Work in Ireland

Applicants must have a valid visa and the legal right to live and work in Ireland without restrictions.

Driving Requirements

As this is a community-based role, you must have:

• A full, valid driving licence

• Access to your own car
