Full job description

Sales Assistant Position – Home Appliances and Electronics.

Location: Burt Showroom, F93 XDP8
Employment Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Reports To: Store Manager.

About Callaghan’s Electrical

Callaghan’s Electrical is an award winning, family-run electrical appliance retailer, operating for over 50 years. With two showrooms, shortlisted for the National Retailer of the Year 2026 and a thriving online store, we’re looking to expand our team to meet growing demand.

Salary dependant on experience.

Role Overview:

  • Product knowledge across a broad range of home-appliances, electronics, and consumer-electronics brands
  • Friendly, motivated, energetic staff with good communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to contribute to sales targets, upsell, and help delivery of store performance.
  • Willingness to maintain store standards: merchandising, store presentation, stock handling, and helping with deliveries/restocking.
  • Prepare accurate customer quotes, including product pricing, delivery, installation, and promotional offers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, orders, and service requests both in-store and via phone.
  • Stay up to date with product features, industry trends, and promotions.

Requirements:

  • Friendly, approachable, and confident when speaking with customers.
  • Ability to learn technical product information quickly.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Previous experience in retail, particularly in electronics or white goods appliance sales.
  • Interest in home technology, smart appliances, or consumer electronics.
