About Blondie

Blondie Café & Restaurant is a busy, well-established and much-loved café in the heart of Ballincollig. Known for its warm and friendly atmosphere, loyal customers and high standards, we are now seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.

This is primarily a daytime role, (Tuesday to Sunday incl) offering excellent work-life balance, though we are now venturing in to weekend tapas events, so evening work will occasionally be required.

You will work closely with the owner in a supportive and organised environment where systems are already in place.

The Role

The Restaurant Operations Manager will lead, motivate and support the kitchen and front of house team, ensuring smooth service and maintaining the Blondie standard.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day operations
Overseeing the smooth running of the restaurant and ensuring service flows efficiently.

Cash handling and reporting
Completing daily cash reconciliation and basic reporting.

Staff training and support
Guiding staff and maintaining consistency and confidence within the team.

Staff hiring
Assisting with recruitment when required, with full support from the owner.

Rosters
Preparing weekly staff rosters using our integrated system.

Labour costs
Monitoring staffing levels in line with business needs.

Ordering
Managing front-of-house ordering and maintaining stock levels.

Personnel files
Keeping staff records organised and up to date.

HACCP compliance
Ensuring staff complete required online HACCP training.

Staff reviews
Carrying out staff check-ins and maintaining records.

Support to owner
Working alongside the owner to support the overall running of Blondie.

Menus and ideas
Contributing ideas and assisting with menu development and implementation.
