DESCRIPTION
Join our Infrastructure Installation team and play a key role in building and maintaining the networks that power our global operations. You'll work on large-scale data center projects, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless installation and deployment of next-generation infrastructure across multiple locations.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
As an Infrastructure Installation Technician, you'll be at the center of our data center expansion efforts. Your day might include coordinating rack installation activities, troubleshooting network connectivity issues, and working with vendors to resolve infrastructure challenges. You'll manage your priorities through our ticketing system while staying connected with colleagues across different locations. Whether you're configuring new hardware, assessing power and cooling requirements, or documenting cabling infrastructure, you'll see the direct impact of your work on our operational capacity. You'll also have opportunities to participate in hardware migrations and rollouts, gaining exposure to our evolving infrastructure landscape.
About the team
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
