Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

O'Gorman Brannigan Purtill & Co. (OGBP) is a progressive and growing firm of Chartered Accountants, Tax Advisors, and Business Advisors based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated, organised and professional Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our team.

Location: Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Expected Start Date: July or August 2026

The Role

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a key role in creating a positive and professional experience for visitors and callers while providing administrative support to our accounting and advisory teams.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a busy office environment, possess excellent organisational skills and be capable of managing a variety of administrative responsibilities efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for clients, both in person and by telephone
  • Managing incoming calls and directing enquiries appropriately
  • Greeting clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Scheduling appointments and managing meeting room bookings
  • Assisting with client onboarding and maintaining client records
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, and documents
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Maintaining electronic and physical filing systems
  • Providing administrative support to partners and accounting staff
  • Assisting with general office management duties
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the office

Requirements

  • Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, positive, and proactive attitude
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering an excellent client experience
