Village Vets Goolds is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate Front Of House Representative to join our amazing team.

Our ideal candidate would be experienced working in small animal practice and be highly motivated, hard-working, and a team player. This is a role combining some reception work alongside supporting our team of vets & nurses looking after the patients in the wards & also before & after surgery. In Village Vets, we strive to provide the best standard of care to our patients and the best service to our clients.

This role is a full time contract based on 40 hours per week.

  • Assist the veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse in their day to day duties.
  • Assist the nurse & care for patients and inpatients in our care to the standard upheld by Village Vets.
  • Undertake general cleaning duties throughout the clinic including equipment, animal quarters to a level acceptable to the Village Vets standards.
  • Greet all visitors and welcome them to the clinic.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Checking in patients and Collecting payments.
  • Maintain records as necessary .
  • Manage the receptionist area and assist with admin tasks as needed.
  • Assist Vet nurses and Vets with patient care when necessary.
  • Undertaking additional tasks as may be assigned.
  • Assist in caring for patients and inpatients to the standards upheld by Village Vets.
  • Undertake general cleaning throughout the clinic, including equipment and animal quarters.
  • Run routine lab work under the direction of the veterinary nurse.
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining an outstanding client experience throughout the whole team.
  • Carry out any ad hoc veterinary or administrative duties as required by the head nurse or area manager.
  • Undertaking additional tasks as may be assigned.
