Full job description

Career Vision Recruiters are recruiting on behalf of an established hospitality venue for an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager in Cork City.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the venue, leading the team, maintaining excellent service standards, and ensuring smooth and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, opening/closing, shifts, and service standards.
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the management and frontline teams.
  • Support recruitment, training, performance management, and weekly rotas.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience and resolve issues professionally.
  • Oversee cash handling, stock control, ordering, wastage, and POS procedures.
  • Support sales reporting, KPIs, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, fire safety, and company policies.
  • Complete and oversee operational reports, checklists, and incident records.
  • Liaise with HR, suppliers, contractors, security, entertainment, and events teams.
  • Act as General Manager when required and provide support across the wider group.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a senior hospitality management role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Calm and confident under pressure.
  • Commercially aware with strong operational standards.
  • Passionate about hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
