Full job description

We are hiring a junior baker part time hours, on a permanent contract.

2 positions are open (one afternoon position 1pm-8pm) (one morning position 5am-1pm/7am-3pm)

The Junior Baker will play a key role in ensuring high-quality baked goods for Tram Café locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Baking & Production: Prepare cakes and pastries according to company standards, ensuring timely completion of daily orders while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all orders are completed properly, adhering to presentation and portion control guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with ingredient restocking and inventory control to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Recipe Development: Collaborate with the Bakery Manager to create new cake recipes for cafés and hotels, demonstrating creativity, precision, and a strong aesthetic sense.
  • Packaging & Catering: Prepare cake boxes for catering orders as needed.
  • Waste Monitoring: Track and record waste in the designated waste book to minimize losses.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues, supporting one another to complete all tasks efficiently.
  • Training and Development: Assist Bakery Manager and Senior Baker in the training and development of bakery team members.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including completing necessary daily HACCP records.
  • Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently ,reporting any defects immediately for repair.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a clean and presentable appearance at all times.
  • Reliability & Work Ethic: Demonstrate dependability, conscientiousness, and a proactive approach to work.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Senior Baker or Bakery Manager.

Shift Requirements:

Must be available for early morning shifts, starting at 5:00 AM.

This role requires a team-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for baking.

Pastry experience is a strong advantage.

Pay: €14.50 per hour
