Café Supervisor / Lead Barista

Honestly Farm Kitchen – Carrick-on-Shannon

Honestly Farm Kitchen is a busy, farm-to-table restaurant in Carrick-on-Shannon, known for warm hospitality, excellent coffee, and food made with ingredients from our own Drumanilra Organic Farm and trusted local producers.

We’re now looking for an experienced Café Supervisor / Lead Barista to join our front-of-house team and support the day-to-day running of service.

About the Role

This is a hands-on supervisory role in a fast-paced, high-quality daytime restaurant environment. You’ll lead by example on the floor, support junior team members, and help ensure service runs smoothly and consistently when on shift.

You’ll work closely with the management team while remaining very much customer-facing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and serving specialty coffees and beverages to a consistently high standard
  • Leading by example in customer service and hospitality
  • Supervising FOH service during shifts and supporting smooth service flow
  • Supporting, mentoring, and guiding baristas and FOH team members
  • Managing tills, cash handling, and accurate order taking
  • Ensuring display counters are well presented and fully stocked
  • Running food from the pass and coordinating with the kitchen
  • Assisting with opening and closing procedures
  • Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, and health & safety
  • Acting as a point of contact for the team during service when managers are not on the floor

About You

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a busy café or restaurant
  • Strong barista skills and confidence working independently
  • Previous supervisory or senior FOH experience is an advantage
  • Calm, organised, and confident during busy services
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, supportive leadership style
  • Reliable, flexible, and available to work weekends
  • A genuine interest in food, coffee, and quality hospitality

Pay: Negotiable Depending On Experience

Hours

  • One full-time position available
  • Flexible daytime and early evening shifts, Monday to Sunday
  • Restaurant closes at 7pm
