Senior Facilities Manager – Pharma Manufacturing Site, Co. Waterford | Permanent |

We are partnering with a leading international facilities management organisation to appoint a Senior Facilities Manager Hard & Soft Services, for a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Co. Waterford. This is a high-profile, site-based leadership role within a live GMP-regulated environment, responsible for overseeing integrated facilities services across a major manufacturing operation supporting approximately 800 on-site personnel.

The successful candidate will lead a significant soft services operation alongside technical services coordination, subcontractor management, and day-to-day client engagement, ensuring operational stability, compliance, and service excellence across the site.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a highly visible IFM operation within a regulated manufacturing environment where service quality, stakeholder engagement, and operational leadership are critical.

The position requires a strong on-site presence and a hands-on leadership style, with responsibility for:

  • Integrated FM operations across GMP and non-GMP environments
  • Soft services delivery including cleaning, catering, and support services
  • Coordination and oversight of technical and subcontracted service providers
  • Health & Safety compliance, permits, RAMS, and Safe Systems of Work
  • SLA/KPI performance management and operational reporting
  • Daily stakeholder engagement across production and support functions
  • Leading site walkarounds (GEMBA-style engagement) and driving service standards
  • Incident management, escalation handling, and operational governance
  • Team leadership, performance management, and service improvement initiatives

Candidate Profile

We are seeking experienced IFM professionals with a strong background in regulated or operationally sensitive environments.

Essential Candidate Criteria

  • Proven IFM / Facilities Management leadership experience
  • A track record in the management of a combination of hard and soft services operational management capability
  • Experience within pharma, life sciences, manufacturing, healthcare, or other regulated environments
  • Confidence managing large on-site teams and subcontractors
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing SLA/KPI-driven environments
  • Excellent operational, organisational, and communication skills
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness and compliance mindset

Package

  • Competitive base salary (circa €75.000 - €110,000 doe)
  • Bonus and benefits package
  • Pension and healthcare
  • Long-term career progression opportunities within a global FM environment

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong IFM leader seeking a visible operational role within a major manufacturing environment where service delivery, stakeholder management, and team leadership are central to success.
