COMPANY: Glenpatrick Spring Water Ltd & Kilkenny Nutritional Ltd

PURPOSE: The successful Candidates will work within our Technical Department to continuously review and implement global leading quality standards.

REPORT TO: Quality Systems Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Interacting with customers on technical issues which are related to specifications and/or material queries.
  • Creating and maintaining product specifications on customer portals
  • Creation and management of product labels and the management of allergen information for both internal and external labelling requirements
  • Reviewing copy artwork, in line with customer’s technical and labelling policies
  • Liaising with the company Buyer for the completion and sign off of raw material ingredient specifications.
  • Communicating customer specification information to the site team including; all photographic standards, factory single page specification sheets and key attributes
  • Liaising with customers and raw material suppliers to ensure customer and site needs are met.
  • Point of contact for customer specifications for all customers and internal team members.
  • To liaise with the innovation team to ensure all new raw materials sourced comply with customers codes of practice.
  • Involved in Pack copy generation & artwork approval.
  • Completion of the relevant internal trackers for specification completion & control.
  • To attend internal project meetings to ensure projects are delivered according to critical path deadlines.
  • Support any customer audits.
  • To understand HACCP & food legislative requirements, to keep up to date with relevant new legislation.
  • Support the NPD process to ensure that all products launched are safe, legal and comply with all specific customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the updating ,implementation and maintenance of food quality and food safety systems in conjunction with the Quality team and Quality Systems Manager.
  • Internal auditing of systems to comply with BRC and customer standards.
  • Document & data control of all manuals and records in QS.
  • Management of corrective and preventative system actions.
  • HACCP Review and review of Quality Management System.
  • Supplier approval– ensuring packaging, raw material, intermediate, factored good specifications maintained up to date and on file including customer 3rd party certification cert and reports – responsible for maintaining approved supplier list & supporting documentation.
  • Active participation in preparation and on the day handling of customer & 3rd party audits / Visits etc.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Food Science /Nutrition /Quality Systems qualifications.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and motivated Self starter, engaging and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Attention to detail, ability to work accurately and methodically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
