Technical Sales Coordinator

Outdoor Living, Glen of the Downs, Co. Wicklow

We are looking for a self-driven, motivated person to join our Structures Sales Team in our Glen of the Downs branch. This is a great opportunity to join our progressive team in the garden leisure business. Outdoor Living is a fast paced growing business that strives in being the one stop shop for everything to do with outdoor living.

Job Description:

The duties of the Technical Sales Coordinator include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting customer sales visits in both domestic and commercial settings to provide quotations and installation advice for our range of outdoor structures and fittings.
  • Managing customer enquiries by phone, email, and other channels, and preparing quotations using company pricing tools.
  • Preparing accurate and timely quotations, presenting financing or upgrade options, and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to signed order.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell additional products during site visits to offer customers a complete outdoor solution.
  • Coordinating with operations and installation teams to ensure accurate specifications and smooth delivery and installation.
  • Travelling to customer sites as required.
  • Explaining pergola types, sizes, materials, colours, and accessories, and advising customers on the best configuration for aesthetics and practicality.
  • Taking precise measurements and specifications and communicating them to the design, logistics, or installation teams to ensure correct manufacturing and installation.
  • Providing support to customers on common product questions, issues, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date paperwork and records.
  • Working within a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Full Clean Irish Driving License.
  • Extensive onsite experience - experience in the construction/installation industry is an advantage.
  • Sales experience.
  • Must be flexible and available to work weekends.
  • Good Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good standard of customer service required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to effectively multitask several projects at once.
  • Experience use SAP Business One is an advantage.

This role operates on a 5‑day rostered week over 7 days, weekend work will be required.

Excellent communication skills and customer service is a must. The candidate should be an all-rounder and confident to take on different roles in the business.

The current opening hours are from 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 5.30pm on Sundays.
