Full job description

Care Network Ireland are currently recruiting Healthcare assistants to join healthcare facility in Dublin for full-time and part-time roles. As a Healthcare assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across hospital and community healthcare settings. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assist patients with their daily needs while helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Support patients with personal care and activities of daily living.

Work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.

Assist with meal preparation and food service in line with food safety and HACCP guidelines.

Safely transport patients, equipment, supplies, and documentation as required.

Follow all Health & Safety, infection prevention, and organisational policies.

Participate in mandatory training and ongoing professional development.


Essential Requirements:

QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (all 8 modules completed) or an equivalent recognised qualification.

Have a minimum of 150 hours' work experience providing care within a residential service, hospital, or community-based setting.

Up-to-date training in Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Food Safety/HACCP, CPI/PMAV.

Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

A compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach.

A full, clean driving licence is desirable, although it is not essential for the role.

Be flexible and available to work a range of shifts, including daytime, evening, overnight, weekend, and public holiday hours as required.

International Police Clearance (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16)


Desirable:

Previous experience in a hospital, healthcare, or community care setting.

Knowledge of healthcare best practices, including infection prevention and food safety.
