Customer Service Representative – County CavanRole Overview
This role is a key part of the customer support and order fulfilment function, acting as the link between customers and internal departments. The successful candidate will play an important role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders.
Working closely with sales, planning, logistics, and production teams, this is a highly administrative and customer-focused role requiring excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
This is a fully onsite, office-based position reporting directly to the Customer Fulfilment Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and responsive communication.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using ERP systems such as SAP.
- Monitor order progress and coordinate timely delivery of products to customers.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Resolve order-related issues including delays, discrepancies, and returns.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records within internal systems.
- Collaborate with logistics, sales, warehouse, and production teams to support smooth order fulfilment.
- Generate reports and track order-related metrics.
- Prepare customer communications and documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, company policies, and customer service standards.
- Coordinate customer visits and meetings when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a customer service, administration, or order processing role.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification; a relevant third-level qualification is an advantage.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or project-driven environment is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Professional, collaborative, and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships across departments.
