Position Title : Outreach Associate, Integration Project
Duty Station : Dublin, Ireland
Classification : General Service Staff, G5

Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and nongovernmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and direct supervision of the Senior Outreach Associate, the successful candidate will be responsible for the support requirements of the project assisting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP’s) in Ireland.
This role will focus on supporting BOTP’s in Designated Accommodation settings across Ireland, implementing the delivery of orientation sessions, information provision, and offering one-to-one assistance. The role will include other programme related responsibilities as required.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
2. Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
3. Support the Senior Outreach Associate with the development and implementation of the Outreach and Information Provision strategy through research and additional support as required.
4. Deliver information sessions to BOTP’s in Designated Accommodation settings regarding accurate and essential information relevant to their life in Ireland.
5. Coordinate with assigned focal points at Designated Accommodation Centres to schedule visits and sessions. Maintain coordination with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
6. Disseminate key and accurate information to BOTP’s. Ensure cases with vulnerabilities are identified and have been referred as necessary. Provide translation and interpretation services as necessary.
7. Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest remedial actions.
8. Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.
9. Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records; organize meetings, workshops and training sessions;
10. Participate in meetings and conferences; assist in coordinating implementation activities with local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.
11. Assist in monitoring work of implementing partners and report non-compliances to the supervisor.
12. Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- Experience in disseminating information to large audiences in a wide variety of settings.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Good knowledge of information technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills:
- In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
- Presentation and clear communication skills
- A full, clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle is required for this role.
Languages:
- IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish
- For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written) along with Ukrainian and Russian.
- Working knowledge of any UN languages an advantage
