Full job description

Facilities Maintenance Handyman – €25/hr – 39 Hours

MCR Group is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Handyman for an immediate start in Grangecastle.

This is a full-time facilities maintenance position working 39 hours per week, with a pay rate of €25.00 per hour PAYE. There is no overtime requirement.

The role will include:

  • Responding to maintenance requests and helpdesk tickets
  • General building fabric maintenance and repairs
  • Painting and touch-up works
  • Repairing locks, handles and door closers
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry
  • Replacing light fittings and bulbs
  • Unblocking toilets and general minor janitorial works
  • Carrying out routine building inspections and reporting defects
  • Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance
  • Supporting office/workplace moves, deliveries and collections
  • Completing task-specific risk assessments and working safely within an occupied facility

Requirements:

  • Previous facilities/building maintenance or similar experience preferred
  • Strong general handyman and maintenance skills
  • Must have own tools
  • Good understanding of site Health & Safety and safe systems of work
  • Comfortable working independently and prioritising maintenance requests
  • Professional manner and good communication skills
  • Comfortable working within a live/occupied environment
  • Reliable and available for an immediate start

Rate: €25.00 per hour PAYE
Hours: 39 hours per week – no overtime
Start: Immediate
