Commis Chef / Chef de Partie

The Four Winds is a busy, well-established bar and restaurant in the heart of rural County Cork. We serve top-quality food 7 days a week, blending modern dishes with traditional Irish favourites, all made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

We’re currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and creative Commis Chef or Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment, working alongside our experienced Head Chef and culinary team.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Assisting with food preparation and supporting daily kitchen operations
  • Ensuring dishes are beautifully finished and consistently presented
  • Helping to resolve any kitchen issues quickly and effectively
  • Working closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards of food quality and consistency
  • Following all hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Promoting a respectful, team-oriented atmosphere in the kitchen

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ideally 1 year of kitchen experience (but full training will be provided for the right person)
  • A strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure
  • A positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
  • An interest in current culinary trends and a willingness to learn
  • Health & Safety and HACCP knowledge or certification (an advantage)
