Full job description
We are seeking a Medical Administrator/Receptionist to cover a Maternity Leave Contract from Mid August 2026 to February/March 2027 to join our friendly, busy and growing GP Practice. The ideal candidate should have very strong administration skills - ideally in medical administration/reception, they should enjoy working with the general public in a busy environment and working well as part of a team. Knowledge and experience using HealthOne software, or similar, along with PCRS and Excel are preferred.
Duties will include: Answering phone calls and email queries, Scheduling patient appointments, Checking in patients in waiting room, general office duties such as post, email, filing, scanning and processing claims on PCRS system, communicating with hospitals and consultants, billing patients and managing confidential patient information.
Requirements: Excellent fluency in spoken and written English , Excellent communication & telephone skills, IT skills - MS Office, Excel, Medical Practice Software, a knowledge of medical terminology, a good team player and flexibility. Ideally 2-3 years medical secretary / receptionist experience in a GP Practice preferred.
