Clerical Officer Histology
We are currently seeking to recruit a Clerical Officer to join our team in our Histology Laboratory in Eurofins MC Pathology in Sandyford, Dublin 18. An organised professional, who enjoys solving issues to the very end, and looking to grow your experience in a laboratory/medical setting. Training and development support will be given to you to help your progression within the organisation.
This is a fixed term position for 2 years, with the possibility of an extension subject to business needs.

Job Description
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager in Histology, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing clerical support for booking in patient data into the Laboratory Information Management System.
Specific Tasks:
- Use of Laboratory Information Management Systems.
- To be aware and to be compliant with of all the documentation related to your Department (Training record, SOP’s, Forms).
- Booking in all request forms.
- Undertaking of accessioning and grossing clerical workload.
- Checking laboratory emails and informing appropriate personnel.
- Filing of all completed reports.
- General secretarial and housekeeping duties.
- Attention to detail essential.
Qualifications
Education
- Leaving Cert or equivalent but science related diploma is desirable
Experience
- Ideally 1 year in a similar role, but not mandatory (can be trained in-house)
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent administration skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Can do attitude willing to go the extra mile to resolve all issues.
- Proven problem solver.
